Atiku Abubakar’s presidential campaign spokesman, Dino Melaye, has dismissed Peter Obi’s influence. According to him, social media polls are not the same and those who are upset with Peter Obi do not follow him on social media. He said this in a recent interview on Politics Today on Channels Television.

He said this is not the time for Peter Obi to be the leader of Nigeria because he does not have what it takes to unite Nigeria. He said that what people see is just noise that will soon disappear.

He said – “All you see is euphoria, everyone is shouting Peter Obi. What is Peter Obi’s following on social media? Even those who make fanciful noises are not following Peter Obi on social media. Go to Peter Obi’s Twitter and Instagram handle, how many people follow him? We’ve seen this before.

He also expressed hope that his candidate, Atiku Abubakar, will win next year’s election.
