Cairo – Samia Saeed – Planning Minister Dr. A government report presented to Parliament by Hala Al-Saeed detailed the main features of the health sector initiatives in the investment plan for the new financial year 2022/2023.

In this context, we review the targeted initiatives and financial allocations in the health sector:

1- Comprehensive Health Insurance:

– 94 hospitals

– 448 health units

Financial allocation: 5.2 billion pounds

2- Hospitals and specialized medical centers:

– 148 hospitals

– Appropriations 3.6 billion pounds.

3- Accessing hospital services:

Establishment and development of 36 hospitals

– Appropriations 1.8 billion pounds.

4- Developing and equipping health facilities in urban communities in the governorates of “Civilized Life”:

– 15 hospitals

-104 units

– 2.5 billion pounds

5- Intensive Care Bed:

Provision of 1500 beds

– Appropriations 1.3 billion pounds

6- Enhancing the Egyptian role in health care of African countries:

– 3 countries (Djibouti – South Sudan – Uganda)

– Credit 493 million pounds

7- Supply of ambulances “A decent life”:

– 1000 ambulances

– Credit 350 million pounds

8- Central Laboratory Building in Badr:

– Credit 350 million pounds

9- Centers for Family Health and Development:

Comprehensive development of 52 integrated hospitals

– Credit 250 million pounds

10- Medical waste treatment:

– 17 waste incinerators

– 131 junk cars

– Credit 209 million pounds

11- Automation of University Hospitals:

University Hospitals treat 78 hospitals

– Credit 400 million pounds
